The  R&R Administrative Assistant is a part-time position designed to provide direct support to Resource & Referral Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the program, whcih aims to provide families with children aged 0-5 access to affordable , quality, licensed childcare services and other resources for family stability. 

Hours: Part-Time ( Monday - Friday)  20 hours per week

Location:  888 Clay St San Francisco CA 94108 

Language: Bilingual in Cantonese/Mandarin

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Under the direction of the Resource & Referral Manager the Administrative Assistant will manage office and program supplies, monitor inventory, and oversee the R&R team calendar for Chinatown and Bayview sites.

  • The R&R Assistant will manage weekly R&R staff meeting agenda and documents management including maintaining and updating records of families and childcare providers in program database. 

  • This role also involves managing memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with agency partners and handling invoices with contractors.
  • You will be responsible for creating program ducuments  and ensure compliance with local, state, agency and program policies and procedures.
  • The R&R Administrative Assistant will research community partners and vendors as needed and support outreach initiatives.

  • As the Resource & Referral Assistant you will route individuals to the appropiate person or department and support Zendesk request for both sites.
  • Data entry is a key part of this role, requiring the Assistant to enter information into multiple databases accurately and promptly of all documents and organize electronic files. 
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed, including participation in ongoing professional development.

Education Required:  High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or related fields are a plus

Knowledge / Expereince / Skills Required: 

  • Demonstrate excellent writing and oral communication skills in English (reading writing, Speaking) Bilingual in Cantonese/ Mandarin
  • Team player, ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse, low-income communities, including monolingual speakers.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Travel: Regular travel throughout San Francisco is required for fulfill job duties. 
  • Physical requirements: Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of $28-$31/hour / Additional $4.80 per hour temporary hourly rate adjustment applies to staff who have successfully completed Wu Yee’s 90-day introductory period with satisfactory performance and achievement of all job-related goals and requirements. This is a temporary salary adjustment available only until 06/30/2025.
