, ,The Child Care Resource and Referral Manager leads, plans and implements the Resource and Referral program. She/he will extend Resources and Referral services City wide, including Child Care referrals, education, data analysis and advocacy.
Location: 880 Clay Street, San Francisco
Position: Monday - Friday | Full time 40 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
● Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for the R&R program
● Demonstrate cultural competency and deep commitment to equity in all aspects of program service delivery
● Manage day to day operations and administration of all R&R programs and activities including the implementation of family and parent partnerships, programs and projects
● Supervise and lead R&R staff in providing quality support services to families ensuring high customer services standards are being met
● Manage R&R programs in a fiscally sound manner ensuring program goals can be implemented and all contractual obligations are met
● Prepare and monitor annual R&R budget; Manage data maintenance, documentation, and evaluation processes; Submit reports in a timely manner
● Work closely with collaborative partners and funders in contract development and implementation
● Responsible for monthly and quarterly reports to funders
● Support and coordinate parent advocacy efforts
● Evaluate program data to determine efficacy, and to determine needs and trends.
● Lead education efforts with team to ensure family trainings and resources are relevant and meets contract obligations
● Develop and implement outreach plans to recruit participants for child care enrollment, parent and provider support programs
● Identify, develop and cultivate strong partnerships with community agencies, key community organizations, and other Agency departments to create family and provider resources
● Represent the Agency in community meetings (Community Care Licensing meetings, Resource & Referral Network, Family Support, etc.)
● Works in partnership with Child Development staff to provide quality training to FCC Providers and implement playgroups to parents
● Manage and follow-up on complaints to the Community Care licensing department as required by State R&R Contract guidelines
● Support staff in receiving trainings to optimize performance and growth
● Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Experience/Skills Required:
● Knowledge of child care and family support
● Knowledge of San Francisco community resources
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Attentive to detail and able to handle multi tasks with flexibility
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals
● A collaborative work style is a must
● Ability to work some weekends and evenings
● Ability to occasional lift up to 50 pounds
● A minimum of 12 ECE credits preferred
● A Family Development Credential preferred
Education Required:
● BA in Human Services/Social Services or related field; or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of paid experience in community services and outreach.
● 3 years of paid experience in working in child care and/or family services for low income or diverse communities
● 2 year of supervisory experience
● Master’s degree preferred

● A competitive salary of $85, 550 To $97,230

Essential Functions - Physical Position Requirements; Machines and/or Equipment Used:
● Must be PC literate; MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
● Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.)
● Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.
● Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
● Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
● Close vision required for computer usage.
● Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift 5-10 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work.
