Wu Yee Children’s Services is looking for an Occupational Therapist.

Scope of Work:

Wu Yee Children’s Services is looking to contract with an occupational therapist for up to  20 hours per month, as consultation is needed, not to exceed $50,000 per year. The term of this contract will be for 3 years, funds permitting. We serve approximately 600 children in 12 center-based locations, 13 family child care homes, and a home visiting program. We are looking for someone who can support our staff and families by providing occupational therapy consultation.

 

Duties include:

      Observe children in their classroom setting

      Provide verbal and written recommendations, strategies, and consultation for teaching staff to support children in the classroom through the lens of occupational therapy

      Provide individualized visual supports and resources, as needed

      Provide consultation and resources for families, when necessary

      Make recommendations for children who may need further evaluation by regional center or school district

 

Qualifications and Expectations:

      3 - 5 years of experience working with children 0 - 8

      Requires good working knowledge of current occupational therapy principles and practices

      Ability to pass a background check

      Familiarity with local regional centers and school districts

      Familiarity with following governmental regulations

      Ability to follow the Wu Yee Children's Services standards of conduct

      Ability to conduct services in a natural environment

      Possession of a valid Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy

      experience working with low income families and the BIPOC community

Response and Selection Timeline

Responses must be received no later than 7/25/2025. Wu Yee’s Management will then review the proposals and will conduct an interview with selected finalists during the week of 8/4/25. Wu Yee will make its finadecision by 8/8/2025. Wu Yee will finalize the contract by 8/15/25.

Your proposal should include the following information:

1.   Detail your firm's professional experience in providing occupational therapy services to nonprofit organizations.

2.   Identify the occupational therapists who will be assigned to our job if you are successful in your bid, and provide biographies.

3.   Describe how your firm will approach the occupational therapy consultation process.

4.   Set forth your hourly fee proposal for consultation.

5.   Describe how and why your firm is different from other firms being considered, and why our selection of your firm as our occupational therapist is the best decision we could make.
